As a person grows older we have more to compare new experiences to. Doing this makes events in our childhood seem bigger than things ahead of us as they have less in perspective to know of, imagine having one chance to shoot the winning goal versus it being the 55th time you’ve done it; one has more references and is progressively less stressful or epic depending on how you call it. Thing is that every moment is actually totally new but the human mind feels it has invested or “payed its dues” do there is some stupid sunken cost entitlement; Old people and seniority bullshit. There is literally too much happening in your home town for you to ever know or comprehend all the intricacies of it all. Human minds take the sixteen or so people they first meet and full enough understand and project those understandings onto everyone else. Once done, the mind relaxes and feels “smart”. This is fucking stupid and its very hard to overcome that bias, takes dedication and focus and isn’t really worth knowing everything we assume we do because the brain CANT deal with that; it does humble and bring one closer to reality in realizing they don’t know and that may be very important. The answer is the great hippie adage “be here now” and it’s right but its just as easy to become a pretentious new age nuisance with the natural human mind’s dash to assumptions.

This process can be seen as a huge detriment in relationships. This isolation also gives credence and route for growth. As a relationship grows there comes to be much expectation derived from experience. One person may have said and done many things which create an end result of what one would qualify as acceptable. In a negative sense you see people having fights where they bring up promises and old adages as not being done and criterion not met. In the positive not, one gives a person encouragement and pushes them towards being better in times of doubt or moments of lapse. Both of these show how a past creates a sight to see the future from and compare to. This is where and how telescopic lensing makes moments old. Reminding yourself that at this very moment, you could have nothing at all and this person has the freedom to do anything they want. Sensory acclimation is the process through which humans get used to good things and then bored as they expect better; it’s competitive and productive in the most primal situations and ravaging for appreciation and sustaining relationships. The person could be yourself and your life all the same though. Giving yourself the space and freedom to be anything, again, grounds you and then revitalizing the worth of a moment in more accurate critique scope.

What you have is always pretty good unless you just got robbed or were through a hurricane. In seeing rich people or more fortunate souls, we have a comparison due to our competitive nature and a possible aimless self-loathing. Neither of those mindsets know worth, they know greed. That sort of insatiable master is not one to bow to, there must be a finish line if you’re going to start running. Counting your blessings is what one would do when they got the better job, car, house, life. So instead of saying what you wish you had, put yourself on the real exam and enjoy what you have. Doing this creates an appreciation that calls forth better things to come your way anyway.

The things you can do are certainly enough and your brain will scream that Im a liar one of these days. It is hard to see yourself as good enough when you have done so many things in the past that this now seems tiny and nothing special. But in comparison with the ocean, a wave is nothing yet that one wave can end a person’s life or bring a baby turtle back to sea. It is always the single step that matters to the whole journey as it can end with one and only starts with one. Refreshing to yourself the significant of each moment grips the moment as a part in the full story instead of a flushed montage reject. Life is not a race, life is a billion moments which are of worth by themselves. When a person dies they begin to see the entirety of their life span as one big picture not fluctuated by minutes nor separated in scope. This view has the worth to each scene not cut into separate chunks nor streamlined in the whole tale for each one has individual grace regardless the comparisons. Giving your actions credential makes the flow of your effort towards better anyways and greater moves will come fluidly to this behavior.
