To fight somebody is to say that they are important enough for you to battle. It is validating and declaring them important. When someone wants to fight about something stupid and you don’t, don’t fight. Understand them, diagnose and analyze. Remember that motive is in your control not the battle or storm at hand. When all that anger inside screams,”GO” move out the way and let it go. Your actions are in your control. Stepping in front of a cannon might be a sign of strength but its also making a stand of opposition and usually against someone you love; in this metaphor.  Sit back and talk about it, let them scream and blow up. Don’t tell them what to do or who they are or be condescending. Experience the explosion as an observer. Anger is powerful and wants to take people on a drive but it is not in control. Its also addicting so this is a new trick but not an impossible one like that addicted part of the mind, fully invested in the power of anger, wants to believe in. Get on your own track and ride the train you want. Let the assholes ride by, ignore them by living your life without them involved.
