The rebel is an idolized character in American mythos. Having a strong fight and small chance of victory makes you brave, probably a little stupid, and full of faith in the unknown and seemingly ridiculous. In today’s age there is so much built up that to rebel aimless is meaningless. We live in a time of so much structure and access to information that real rebellion nowadays is, in execution, creation. There is so much to work with and understand already going on, to rebel without a plan and tools is to waste one’s self.

To escape any prison or mental block, you have to understand what you’re dealing with. This can mean a number of things from accepting one’s own failures or shortcomings in circumstance and chance all the way to realizing that the world you’ve known is a lie and has been poisoning you. Either way you must create something new and better but only after understanding the problems and structure can this be achieved. Don’t not fight the system but learn the system to fight it better.

Ascribing to destruction is always the childish action. One must have something in order to have something to destroy. The creator is always more important and powerful. Rebellion in the highest sense is to destroy by inventing better and using what is current as a stepping stone, a tool, encompassing and re-aiming the problematic. This is how one goes from being a skanky punker to be a full stage rebellion leader with a guitar; you get a fucking plan and recycle broken Kings.

To invent is to take from the old and great then mix and rematch, paraphrasing Neil Gaiman. The creating process requires learning from bastards, rapists and thieves. There’s too many in charge of the world for them to not be worth robbing. Never see it as giving in or giving up. Allow the process to feel like reconnaissance mission where you’re doing spy work instead of enslavement allows the mind the brevity and agility to keep its creative juices flowing. This progress within while navigating the outside is key to all things success and a huge flaw the rebel usually loses because of their passion.

The vivacious heart screams so loud that everything around them wants to join their ship. Without dedication this song turns to a cacophony then a mess. Rebelling, and creating, have this sort of passion involved so it is easy to get lost because its part of the whole song’s dance. Dedication and discipline exists as passion stays within itself and performs, not as a punishment or lacking. Just as once a person cleaned their kitchen will they keep it neat and spiffy so will a passionate person who has seen their work shine, naturally want to keep discipline as a staple of their life. Keep thriving BY organizing. The system in front or around may be evil but a victor is an opportunist.
