The knowledge of how to enjoy each part of the journey, good or bad, is a more magnificent skill than any prize at the end. We exist in a world where religion, advertising, businesses, hallmark holidays, governments, and schools have taught us to seek the end of the rainbow. Once we finish, then it will be good. Then it will be worth it. But its a fucking rainbow. That would be like saying having sex is only good for the orgasm at the end. Cumming is awesome but the steps getting there both make the end what it is and are immeasurable in their greatness as well. To compare the middle with the end is to see them as parts of a whole and use that whole to change one’s perspective on the events. Knowing how to enjoy every moment is incredibly easy. Knowing how to enjoy every moment is letting yourself look for the good and be satisfied with it. The lies that keep us from doing it naturally say we would grow lazy if we did or that bums and cheaters and those blacklisted are the ones who act like that. But thats all bullshit. We are driven by meaning, happiness is just a spice along the way. Allow yourself to perceive happiness for it is always around.
