compassion does what war wishes

There is always a cure even if it lies in the deepest and darkest places imaginable. The base of every kind of cure is forgiveness. To prove so, examine must be the sickest of sick. Heroin junkies, serial murders, war profiteers are all evil roles that people play. But they are people first and everyone is. No one falls to anything terrible without first destroying themselves from within. No child dreams of doing tremendously horrid deeds but yet one does grow up and find their way to that path. To defeat the addiction, the craving, that fix that overwhelms them the inner child who is beaten and thrashing at the base of any evil act must be comforted. The most maddening thing one person can do to a rapist, is forgive them. It then takes away the battle, the deniability, the blame  and the  rapist must now only face themselves. To care for another is to show they can be healthy and cure themselves. That is the greatest medicine one can give to another.
