The head-echoing dribble rolls on endlessly for what one doesn’t have. Each mind can spill out an ocean about what it does not have but only because it has an ocean to compare to. Without knowledge of such vastness, one couldn’t ask for it. If nobody had heard of pastries, would they ever ask for pie after trying cake? People want more of good things they like(SURELY I JEST) but we will not give up what we have for the taste of something different. In the moment when such is done, true change is found.

People who are predominately on their computers, in their books, not running and jumping and climbing trees or the like are folks who have found that as adverse as trying to fly. The man who smashes his car may find himself in a different land than the woman who doesn’t. Our gut jumps to anger, blame, shame nothing good in such a circumstance. But this a change and a loss; and a chance to be something new. Now he may begin walking from place to place. Maybe riding a bike, skateboard or roller skates. All these roll out an entirely new walk of life. What a glorious and mysterious new route of life with a plethora of possibilities and new understandings. And not having a car is bad but its more seen bad by social comparisons than reasonable criterion.

So what I am suggesting is to pull out of normal life to experience both the worth of that norm and its alternatives. Obviously broken legs and smashed car would be horrible but the simple avoiding them for a week could be an incredible shift to something brilliant in one’s life. Even if it is not then the return back brings revitalized and grand understanding more than before. Try turning off something big and staying committed to it then look for new things instead of pine for old.
