Every few weeks or so throughout a given semester, Jack schedules a social event. These started out (and fairly consistently remain) as invitations to dinner at a local restaurant. The original title for this activity (thanks to Cliff!) was (and still is) Dinner with Jack. The occasion affords the opportunity for attendees to meet others and enjoy casual conversation, as well as deeper philosophical discussions, with one another, as well as Jack, away from the classroom. Over the years as these events have evolved; they have come to include Dinner and a Play with Jack, Dinner and a Sporting Event with Jack, and Dinner and a Movie with Jack.
